Scheduling Chores

It is a good idea to set up a schedule with your roommates to decide who will do what chores and when. The biggest issues that students run into are figuring out who is responsible for cleaning. Doing the dishes is where this is most often seen. There are no dishwashers in the flats, and dirty dishes can add up fast if they are not taken care of promptly. Some students have written their names with washable marker on their dishes to know whose dishes are whose. Maids do come to flats each week to clean, but not if your flat is already in some decent shape for them to get into it. So let that be motivation for keeping a moderately clean room. And if that's not good enough motivation, then your punishment could be from some smaller flurried visitors.

Sleeping

It is essential to be respectful of your roommates when sleeping, just like any dorm situation that students have been in previously. This includes having visitors past quiet hours, which are at 11 pm Sunday-Thursday, and 12 midnight Friday-Saturday. You may also want to set up a schedule for who gets into the bathroom for showering in the morning. The best way to avoid any problems is to simply be respectful and take responsibility for yourself. If there are problems, RA's are available to help resolve your issues.
