Easy Things to Cook

The cooking facilities provided in the flats can be feel a bit cramped at times. There are a number of foods that are relatively easy to make and do not require the use of large amounts of space. You might want to keep in mind that preservatives are not added to most foods, so things like bread and sandwich meats spoil faster. Milk also does not last as long. Plus, when you are sharing a fridge with more than one person the space is greatly limited. There are a number of things that you can buy that need no refrigeration, that can be stored on the shelf space and are suprisingly delicious!
  • Instant mashed potatoes
  • Ramen noodles
  • Frozen pizza
  • Pre-cooked frozen meals
  • Uncle Ben's Express Rice - come in a variety of flavors
  • Any type of pasta
  • Instant soup pouches
  • Crumpets
  • Nachos
  • Sandwiches
